Rabat is the capital and broadly safe. The Al Irfane neighbourhood (university city) is well-supervised. Private residences (Bayt Al Maarif, RU) are strongly recommended for female students living alone: keypad entry, guard and cameras. Agdal is quiet and well-served.
Rabat tram serves Al Irfane and Agdal. Transport budget ~300–500 MAD/month.
